When tradition crosses borders, design becomes a bridge. The Mexican Independence Festival in Maryland is more than just a celebration — it’s a cultural heartbeat that connects generations and awakens pride in a vibrant identity. Our challenge was to translate that spirit into a visual identity that speaks through colors, textures, and symbols of what it means to be Mexican away from home. The identity, inspired by the richness of Mexican folk art, blooms with detail: flowers reminiscent of papel picado, organic shapes that dance like mariachis to the rhythm of folklore, and a vibrant color palette that proudly sings the tones of our flag, our land, and our joy. This identity doesn’t just dress the festival — it represents it with pride, turning it into a visual experience as authentic as the Grito that inspires it.
